Reading Faces: What a Person’s Face Reveals About Their Personality

How much can you know about a person you’ve met for the first time by just  looking at their face? We often judge people by outside their outside appearance, whether we are conscious of it or not. Can a person’s face indeed, tell us a lot about their personality?

According to Master Hanz, Feng Shui master and expert in the art of face reading, says people’s individual traits temperament, their state of health, and intellectual capabilities can all be seen and revealed by their facial features. Face reading first developed in ancient China as a branch of astrology because it helped astrologers figure out the health and physical conditions of people seeking readings. Interpreting character strengths and weaknesses from their faces followed as this gave the astrologer a guide on how to give the best advice to their clients.

What you can learn about someone’s character from their facial features:

Forehead– can indicate the level of intelligence of a person has and how that person thinks or utilizes logic.

Lips- the width signifies whether a person is sociable (wide lips) or withdrawn (small lips), while fullness of the lips indicates the level of sensuality or passion.

Eyes– the width or distance between a person’s eyes signify the level of concentration. Narrow eyes tend to be focused and critical while widely spaced eyes indicate a non-judgmental attitude.

Jaw line- indicates strength of will; a prominent jawline is stubborn, assertive and tends to lead while a weak jaw line points to submissiveness and the tendency to be a follower.

What you can learn from a person’s character from their face shape: 

Round Face – Water element. Water stands for communication, so these people are very sociable and love to talk. They are sensitive and have strong intuition.

Oblong Face – Wood element. Wood personifies quality of being inflexible. They can be strong and loyal but may have a tendency to be self-centered.

Triangular Face –Fire element. They are a blend of intellectual and spiritual temperament. Charming and friendly, they can also be childish and petulent when they don’t get their way.

Square Face: Earth element. These people are often intelligent, analytical, and stubborn. The face shape is associated with an forceful and dominant nature.

Rectangular Face: Similar to square shaped faces in that they are strong-willed, but not quite as aggressive in attitude. They are good at diplomacy and tend to do well in business and politics.

Oval: They are laid back and friendly, with a sweet temperament. They prefer to be agreeable rather than argue with others. They tend to be complacent and do not stand up for themselves.
